No Halloween horror show for five-star Dockers

Newhaven 5 Midhurst and Easebourne 0, SCFL Premier Division match #14, Saturday 31 st October 2026 Sometimes the right fixture comes along at just the right time. Having finally found our shooting boots in Tuesday night’s RUR Cup match against Crawley Down Gatwick, we now needed to keep that momentum going and claim a much-needed three-points in the league. Standing in the way of us making that happen were a struggling Midhurst and Easebourne team; a side without a win in any competition since 12 th September, and one that has conceded three goals or more in seven of their last eight games. If you could pick your own fixture right at this moment, then Midhurst at home would probably be somewhere near the top of the list. Dockers back to winning ways

Newhaven 4 AFC Varndeanians 1, Peter Bentley Cup Round 2, Tuesday 25 th August 2026 Newhaven returned to Fort Road last night, looking to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing FA Cup defeat at Whitstable. However, doing so appeared to be a far from straight forward task. On paper, at least. With injuries already playing havoc with Newhaven’s season, the management have been forced to bring in reinforcements. Step forward Harvey Wheeler and Thomas Sekyere (from Burgess Hill) and Matt Feeney-Hill (from Forest Row). All three were thrust straight into the starting 11 last night, against an AFC Varndeanians team who have made a very solid start to the season. Given the many changes made to last night’s team, the Dockers could have been forgiven for looking slightly disjointed. Not a bit of it. Another good afternoon’s work yields three more points

Newhaven 3 Midhurst and Easebourne 0, SCFL Premier Division match #19, Saturday 6 th December 2025 Newhaven hosted Midhurst and Easebourne yesterday afternoon, hoping to build on their impressive win at Forest Row last time out. Having won the reverse fixture back in late August courtesy of a Harry Hammond goal, completing a league double over our visitors would see us cement our position in the play-offs at the halfway point of the season. The Stags came into this match without a league win since late September so expectations were certainly high for a home win. On a blustery afternoon, both teams initially struggled to get to grips with the tricky conditions, with neither side really able to get a foothold in the game.
